Anne Freudenthal is a professional arborist in the Greater Seattle Area.
She holds the Board Certified Master Arborist, Certified Arborist Municipal Specialist, Certified Tree Climber, and Tree Risk Assessment Qualification credentials through the International Society of Arboriculture; the Tree and Plant Appraisal Qualification through American Society of Consulting Arborists; and is one of the first Certified Urban and Community Foresters through Society of American Foresters' national rollout of the credential. She is an ASCA Consulting Academy graduate and current member, and is studying for the Registered Consulting Arborist credential. She is studying for her MSc in Arboriculture and Urban Forestry at Myerscough College. She is also a Level 1 certified rope access technician though the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians. |

More About Me

My original passion is rock and alpine climbing - I spent the first eight years of my career working in data analytics in the outdoor retail industry, then took a job "just for the summer" dragging brush to reset after a burnout.
It turned out that tree climbing is just as fun as mountain climbing, and six years later I have significant field experience in private and municipal production settings, hazard tree assessment and mitigation, and municipal permitting and inspection work. I also took a short detour into overhead linework which resulted in a greater understanding of electrical infrastructure and the effect tree management has on power availability. On the side, I use my rope access experience to manage hard-to-reach canopies and plantings in the built environment - typically this looks like hanging from the ceiling of a large private greenhouse, or rappelling off roof decks to access landscaping on balconies in highrise buildings. |
